Do You Love Your Life?

Do you love your life? I mean really LOVE it?

Alfred D’Souza said:   “For a long time it had seemed to me that life was about to begin – real life. But there was always some obstacle in the way, something to be got through first, some unfinished business, time still to be served, a debt to be paid. Then life would begin. At last it dawned on me that these obstacles were my life.”  Alfred D’Souza

Do you love life? Do you love YOUR life?

Have you ever thought about how great it is to be alive?

No? Too worried about the bills, your spouse, your kids, the weather or whatever? Are you too busy to even think about it? Sometimes we get so caught up in the busyness of life that we forget to tend to the business of living. I mean LIVING not just existing.

Do you remember as a child when you, hopefully, had nothing to worry about? In the summer you could lay in the grass and watch the clouds, imagining them to be all kinds of wonderful things. At night  you looked at the stars and dreamed big dreams about when you grew up. Do you remember your dream—your big dream? What did you want to be when you grew up?

What are you now?

The big question is not  what do you DO now but what ARE you now? Are you happy with who you are?  Underlying every big dream was the belief that “If I reached my dream I would be happy. ” Think about it. Isn’t that what most of our dreams are about—about being happy?

Are you happy?

Most of us are not living the big dream of childhood and that’s really o.k. Maybe we’re living a better dream but we just don’t recognize it. Look at your life the way it is now. Would you trade it for another?

You don’t have a dream? Oh, I’ll bet you do, you just haven’t looked at it for a while. Why don’t you do that now do it now? Look at your dream.

If  you truly don’t have one, take time to find one. Let your mind and emotions be free to roam and find something that makes your heart sing. It is never to late and you don’t get too  old to have a dream.

What do you appreciate about your life? What in your life makes you the most grateful? What in your life makes you the happiest? You can build a dream around around your answers to those questions.

What needs to be in your life that you don’t have now?

Dream big.

Fall in love with life all over again.
